A jute weekend bag is special for several reasons. It is made with consideration for people and the environment. The bag is made of jute, which is a natural fiber. The fiber is extracted from the bark of the jute plant and goes through an extensive processing process before it becomes a finished jute or jute/cotton product.
The fabric is naturally colored by dyes from plants and seeds eg haritaki seeds and acacia wood, and the dyeing takes place via a via a manual process. Finally, the fabric is handwoven and finally the bag is sewn together on a sewing machine. As the products are handmade, no two products will ever be exactly alike. We hope that you will appreciate the small features of the products and their history and enjoy the bag for many years into the future.

The size of our bestseller weekend bag is W55 x H40 cm and has a solid round or oval bottom, which is lined with a thin layer of recycled rubber. The inside of the bag is lined with either off-white or black cotton. The bag is available in a wide variety of colors and patterns, all with a beautiful classic look. The bag is sewn based on global fair trade principles and took approximately five hours to dye, weave, cut and sew.
