HANDMADE IN BANGLADESH
We hope you love our collection of unique silk scarves in many colors and with various beautiful patterns. The scarf measures 65 x 65 cm.
The scarves are made from vintage silk saris, which means they are not perfect (see also Details). The scarves are made from vintage silk saris. Some are made from 100 percent silk. Others are made from silk blends, i.e. silk combined with cotton, polyester, or synthetic fibers.
The scarves are carefully selected and each scarf has a very special character. At the same time there is only one or very few of each scarf. The scarves are sewn based on global fair trade principles and have taken about two hours to restore and sew.
When you buy a scarf, you help secure decent, meaningful, and dignified jobs for marginalized women in Bangladesh. The women work for a socially responsible company where they receive a fair wage, an annual bonus (dividend), and skills training.

Details
The scarves are made from vintage saris, which means the product has a history.
The saris were previously worn by women in Bangladesh. They have now been upcycled and given a new life. This means that the scarves are not perfect and may have minor stains and marks.
🧡 If you find a small embroidery on your scarf, it is because the women judged the fabric to be beautiful and usable – despite one or two small holes, which they have repaired with a fine embroidery.
Likewise, there will never be two products that are exactly the same, because the products are handmade. We hope you will appreciate the small quirks and the story of the products as much as we do – and we hope you will enjoy them for many years to come.
