HANDMADE IN BANGLADESH
We hope you like our collection of beautiful jute baskets in different sizes. This jute basket measures H50 and D40 cm. It has two strong handles, which measure 40 cm, and the basket can be used for eg storing carpets or as a laundry basket.
The basket is made of hand-woven jute and lined with a layer of cotton on the inside. Between the two layers of jute, a layer of recycled rubber is inserted, which makes the basket firm and ensures that it can stand upright by itself. The basket is produced under proper working conditions and based on global fair trade principles and took approximately five hours to make.
When you buy a basket, you help ensure proper, meaningful and dignified jobs for marginalized women in Bangladesh. The women work for a socially responsible company, where they receive a fair salary and professional training.

Details
The basket is made of jute, which is a natural fiber. The fiber is extracted from the bark of the jute plant and goes through an extensive processing process before it becomes a finished jute product. Jute is an environmentally friendly material because the jute plant requires very little water.
