HANDMADE IN BANGLADESH
We hope you love our collection of beautiful handmade deadstock rugs. This rug measures approximately W60 x L120 cm and can be used as a runner or rug in front of the sink.
The rug is made from deadstock, which means surplus textiles that have never reached the consumer. The rug is made from ribs from (unused) t-shirts that are rolled and finally woven together into a beautiful colorful rug. It is made based on global fair trade principles and took approximately 4 hours to make.
When you buy a rug, you help ensure proper, meaningful and dignified jobs for marginalized women in Bangladesh. The women work for a socially responsible company, where they receive a fair salary and professional training.

Details
This rug is made from deadstock, which means the product has a history.
Deadstock are surplus textiles from the textile industry. These are textiles (e.g. t-shirts, shirts, dresses, etc.) that, for various reasons, never reach the consumer. This may be because the order is cancelled, the factory has made a production error or simply due to overproduction. Deadstock textiles usually become waste and end up in landfill or incineration.
As the products are handmade, no two rugs will ever be the same. We hope that you will appreciate the little features of the products and their history as much as we do – and we hope that you will enjoy them for many years to come.
Care
We recommend that you avoid washing the rug to protect the product and our planet. If it becomes necessary to wash the carpet, it can withstand:
- Machine wash at max. 30°C
- Please use a gentle washing program
- Do not tumble dry
-
be aware, that the carpet shrinks approximately 2-4 cm if you wash it
