The bag is made of hand-woven jute fabric. It is sewn based on global fair trade principles and took approximately four hours to make.
Every purchase empowers women at a social enterprise in Bangladesh. It provides safe and dignified jobs for disadvantaged women. The women receive fair wages, on the job training and capacity building.
The bag is made of jute, which is a natural fiber. The fiber is extracted from the bark of the jute plant and goes through an extensive processing process before it becomes a finished piece of jute fabric and product.
