The bread basket is made from a combination of jute, a natural fiber. It is handmade based on global fair trade principles and takes about two hours to make.
When you buy a bread basket, you help ensure decent, meaningful, and dignified jobs for marginalized women in Bangladesh. The women work for a socially responsible company where they receive fair wages and vocational training.

Details
The bread basket is made of jute, a natural fiber.
The fiber is extracted from the bark of the jute plant and undergoes an extensive processing procedure before it becomes a finished jute product. Jute is an environmentally friendly material because the jute plant requires very little water.
