The bread basket is made from a combination of cotton and jute, which is a natural fiber. It is handmade based on global fair trade principles and takes about two hours to make.
When you buy a bread basket, you help secure decent, meaningful and dignified jobs for marginalized women in Bangladesh. The women work at a socially responsible company where they receive a fair wage as well as professional training.

Details
The bread basket is made from cotton and jute, which is a natural fiber.
The fiber is extracted from the bark of the jute plant and goes through an extensive processing procedure before it becomes a finished jute product. Jute is an environmentally friendly material because the jute plant requires very little water.
