The rug is made from vintage cotton sarees. It is handmade using a traditional weaving technique. It is handmade based on global fair trade principles and took approximately 10 hours to weave.
When you buy a hand-woven carpet, you help ensure proper, meaningful and dignified jobs for marginalized women in Bangladesh. They receive a fair wage and at the same time help preserve and develop an old craft tradition.

This rug is made from vintage cotton sarees, which means the product has a history.
The saris have previously been worn by women in Bangladesh. They have now been upcycled and given a new life. This means that the rugs are not perfect and may have small marks or marks that reflect their history.
