HANDMADE IN BANGLADESH
We hope you like our small and very special collection of patchwork bully hats. The children's bully hat is made in size 46-48 cm.
The hat is made from vintage cotton sarees and hand stitched with uniform visible stitches, called kantha stitches. Kantha is a special way of embroidery and is a centuries-long tradition originally from Bangladesh and India.
The bully hat is sewn together in a fine patchwork pattern and is lined with vintage sari. It took approximately five hours to cut and sew by hand and machine.
When you buy a bully hat, you help ensure proper, meaningful and dignified jobs for marginalized women in Bangladesh. The women work for a socially responsible company, where they receive a fair salary, annual bonus (dividend) and professional training.

Details
The hat is made from vintage saris, which means the product has a history. The saris have previously been worn by women in Bangladesh. They have now been upcycled and given a new life. This means that the hats are not perfect and may have minor spots and patches on them.
As the products are handmade, no two products will ever be made exactly the same. We hope that you will appreciate the small features of the products and their history as much as we do - and we hope that you will enjoy them for many years to come.
