We hope you like our collection of beautiful handwoven rugs with different patterns and sizes. This rug measures W75 x L180 cm. The rug is made with a beautiful striped pattern and can be used as a decorative rug or wall hanging. 

The rug is made from vintage cotton sarees. It is handmade using a traditional weaving technique. It is handmade using global fair trade principles and took approximately 7.5 hours to weave.

When you buy a hand-woven carpet, you help ensure proper, meaningful and dignified jobs for marginalized women in Bangladesh. They receive a fair wage and at the same time help preserve and develop an old craft tradition.

Details

This rug is made from vintage cotton sarees, which means the product has a history.

The saris have previously been worn by women in Bangladesh. They have now been upcycled and given a new life. This means that the rugs are not perfect and may have small marks or marks that reflect their history.

Likewise, there will never be two rugs that are alike, because the products are handmade. We hope that you will appreciate the small features of the products and their history as much as we do - and we hope that you will enjoy them for many years to come.

Care

We recommend that you avoid washing the rug to protect the product and our planet. If it becomes necessary to wash the carpet, it can withstand:

• Machine wash at max. 30°C
• Please use a gentle wash cycle
• Do not tumble dry
• Be aware that the carpet shrinks a few centimeters if you wash it
