The bag is made from vintage saris, which means the product has a history. In the past, these saris were worn by women in Bangladesh. They are now upcycled and given a new life which means that smaller imperfections such as small stains and patches can occur.
The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) is the most recognized global standard for the processing of organic fibers. The standard is supported by an independent third-party certification and is a guarantee of compliance with a wide range of environmental and social criteria throughout the supply chain. Textiles that are GOTS certified must contain a minimum of 70% certified organic fibres.
As with all handmade and small batch items, no two pieces are exactly the same. We hope you will enjoy and celebrate these variations as much as we do.
