HANDMADE IN BANGLADESH
We hope you love our collection of unique bags in many colors and with various beautiful patterns. The bag measures W50 x H30 x D24 cm and can be closed with a zip. It has one internal zipped pocket and two short and one long adjustable handle.
The bag is thinly padded, made of two layers of vintage cotton saris and lined with GOTS certified organic cotton. It is hand sewn together using a traditional kantha stitch, a centuries-old tradition of embroidery native in Bangladesh and in India. It is made by women artisans, based on fair trade principles, and has taken six hours to create.
Every purchase empowers women at a social enterprise in Bangladesh.It provides safe and dignified jobs for disadvantage women. They recieve fair wages, yearly dividends, on the job training and capacity building

This bag is made from vintage saris, which means the product has a history. The saris have previously been worn by women in Bangladesh. They have now been upcycled and given a new life which means smaller imperfections such as small stains and patches can occur.
The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) is the most recognized global standard for the processing of organic fibers. The standard is supported by an independent third-party certification and is a guarantee of compliance with a wide range of environmental and social criteria throughout the supply chain. Textiles that are GOTS certified must contain a minimum of 70% certified organic fibres.
